A Chartered Minerals Processing Engineer with an Honour's Degree in Mineral Processing Technology from the Camborne School of Mines (1984).
As Peter has gained extensive experience of gold mining and processing predominantly in west Africa, he has specialised in gold recovery both Gravity/CIL/CIP and heap leaching routes.
Working in the developing world has given Peter a good understanding of differing cultures and the need to transfer knowledge and experience to local operators and engineers.
Peter has worked at Process department manager with frequent spells to Acting General Manager level.
Peter’s achievements include successfully developing the process management, operational and maintenance teams at the Satellite Gold Mine, Tasiast Gold Mine, Agbaou Gold Mine and Houndé Gold mine; reaching record production at each.
With Endeavour Mining, Peter was promoted to a regional level role to bring his operational management and experience to the wider Endeavour group processing assets and teams.
Since leaving Endeavour Peter has successfully lead the team that saw Laiva mine in Finland restart within a short time frame (albeit with a short operational run) in 2021.
